UH SOBBING, THIS GUY IS AMAZING. WATCH THIS PLEASE, MY HEART DEFROSTED FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES.
No one in my class watches American Idol and that's horribly disheartening. I mean, just because Simon isn't there doesn't make the singers sing any worse. (Discounting the ones who already suck.) I miss the days in IJ when American Idol was THE SHIT and the canteen is always abuzz with the finale, and how people ran to classes to announce winners, and how major celebrity news would just spread across the floor like a virus. Good times! Speaking of which, who's going back for CNY?
Black Swan!
/ 5:40 PM
Yeah, what’s new. Instead of studying till the neurones in my brain split into half, I watched a movie.
Before anything else, I’d like to explain why I’m so eager to watch this movie.
1. The hype. Come on, if you haven’t heard about the movie, you either live in a cave or you’re dead. Everyone and their great-grandmothers have heard of this show. 2. It’s M18. All hail rebellion and ignorance of movie ratings! 3. It’s BLOODY M18. And all the people I hang out with in school? Their birthdays are in February/March. While they’re squealing about their upcoming birthdays and the movies that they can watch, I bitterly celebrate my third month of being 17. My new policy: spoil before you get spoiled. 4. Natalie Portman. She is one half of a pair of chopsticks. (The other one can be Keira Knightley.)
I quite liked the show. Considering it’s about ballet, it’s already artistic by default. Unless you're Barney in a pink tutu. (God, the colour clash. I'm sorry for the mental image.) The music – OH MY GOD the gorgeous classical music – fit in really well, and subtly, with the movies. Props to the soundtrack, because it’s really difficult to conjure one up with all the tracks interweaving seamlessly with the movie. The only outstanding track was the Swan Lake one, whatever it’s called, and aptly so, since it IS the climax of the movie, and the music rightly emphasises the importance of that scene. Have you ever watched 500 Days of Summer? Or Gossip Girl, or any other US TV drama. They have a knack for throwing in random songs that seemingly encapsulate the scene of the moment; but what does Sweet Disposition have to do with walking down the streets? If the music distracts you from the movie, it’s a fail. Also, I must put forth that the soundtrack isn’t particularly memorable, because I can’t remember where any of the music fits in. Still very good, but I don’t think it’s worthy of being placed on repeat. If you need examples of good soundtracks, I’d like to cite Joe Hisashi’s and Yoko Kanno’s works (more of the latter). I wouldn’t really say Hans Zimmer since I think his works are overly bombastic at times. (In your FACE Jomah.)I think this is as much as I can reveal, I guess. I really don’t wish to spoil the movie.
Oh wow, I realise that I only talked about the music. Meh whatever. Shall I talk about the story? Okay, Natalie Portman's a ballerina, and they do Swan Lake. That's all you need to know. Also, her name is Nina. Stupid name. And her voice. BLARGH.
My conclusion is that Black Swan is very good. Not omgwtfsuperman amazing, but still good. Definitely worth watching.
So watch it! Go forth! March!
I haaaaaaave a dreeeeeeam. A sooong to siiiiiiing.

To help me copeeeeeeeee- okay no. I was trying to figure out what I want to do in life and I realise none of them involved careers. Which pretty much explains my headaches concerning universities.
Here's a list, because everyone likes lists.
I WANT TO!
1. Learn the piano.
2. Learn the harmonica.
3. Learn the guitar.
4. Travel the world.
4.1. Go to Europe.
4.1.1. Visit Venice before it sinks.
4.1.2. THE EIFFEL TOWER, DUDES.
4.1.3. Specifically, ride a Vespa across Rome like Princess Ann. Btw, Gregory Peck (Y)
4.2. Go to Korea.
4.3. Go to Japan when the cherry blossoms fall.
4.3. See all the 7 wonders of the world, new and old.
4.4. And whatever other famous tourists spots and monuments.
5. See snow!
6. Get a studio apartment.
6.1. Paint it blue.
7. Get my own library. OR own a bookshop.
7.1. If it's a library, I would hire Michelle as my librarian, as I told how I perceived her in the future.
7.2. OR get a huge house with a room full of bookshelves.
8. Learn to ride a motorbike. (My mother vehemently refuses to allow me.)
9. Learn to drive. Vroom.
10. Ride more trains. Idk, I like trains. I wouldn't mind my own Great Railway Bazaar.
11. Ride a carriage!
12. Learn a new language.
12.1. Or master Chinese, I wouldn't mind. I'd like to read ROTK in its true form.
13. Go to a concert.
14. Read more books.
15. And watch more movies.
Conclusion: Hedonist.
Call me Nostradamus.

Yes, today is a brilliant Monday. I don't recall a Monday ever being this awesome.
1) I finished a book. Specifically the Count of Monte Cristo, at about 2am. Amazing book that I would recommend. The unabridged version please, the one that will exceed a thousand pages.
2) The weather is fabulously cooling.
3) Classroom is larger and more ventilated.
4) The guys stealing benches from other classes amused me.
5) Missed first period. A.k.a, history. THANK GOD.
6) Catching up with everyone was fun.
7) P.E today didn't involve any exercise. P.E teacher recognised me as one of the failures who can't run 2.4 though. I waved at her.
8) I grew a centimetre! /dances. (My classmate really started to sing Dancing in the Moonlight.)
9) People who got back their results today did really well, thus I am very glad for them. I think I was more excited than they were really, haha. I think 99% of my exhilaration came from two accurate predictions. I knew I should have bet cash.
10) School is starting after 8 in 2 weeks time. This warrants champagne. But the J1s have to come to school at the usual time. Hah, suckers.
P.S. Remember Geraldine, ARC people? Anyway CJ decorated the hallways with photos of the students and there's one with her class near my classroom. That was amusing. She looks like a snowman compared to her friends.
NO Cheryl Tan, this is not a post for you, don't be such an egoist!

Hi. Just yesterday, Cheryl Tan was ranting over her weird acronym-ed courses, and I remarked on how she has already planned out her future. Which is quite remarkable really, because these sort of people kind of have a sense of motivation, don't they. They know what they want with their lives, they set out to do it, they lead happy, or at least satisfied lives once they achieve this. As opposed to the drifters in the sea who have no idea where they're going. Speaking of which, it's Open House period, and it's quite stressful for the drifters to make decisions really. First, you need to decide whether you want to go to Poly or JC. After that, which Poly course, or which JC subjects. And then for the JC students now, which stupid university we want to go to. Why does life involve so many decisions? It's so troublesome.

Won't you come see about me?
